The Bermuda Triangle of Britain

-

I began writing this article with the intention of researching the background of some of the alleged paranormal activity claimed to have taken place in and around the Sheffield area. When studying documented records and eye witness accounts, or indeed physically investigating the alleged paranormally active sites, one has to be aware of the inevitable role that coincidence plays in the scheme of things. However, in the case of Sheffield it soon became obvious that coincidence alone could not be the sole factor when considering a possible explanation for the high concentration of alleged events. Too many unconnected individuals had witnessed events and reported them with such remarkable similarity, over such a long period of time that it seemed impossible not to consider the fact that some kind of chain of events had occurred, (and still continues to this day).

For many years I have been convinced that the geological location of any given paranormal occurrence is vitally important. Anyone who has an interest in the paranormal whether they be believers, or hardened sceptics; are aware of the significance of EMFs (Electro-Magnetic Fields). Modern technology has embraced this theory for many years, and as a result has produced and developed hi-tech equipment to trace and measure electromagnetic energy. The most notable gadget of this ilk is the tried and trusted EMF meter used by most paranormal investigation teams. Having said this it must be stated that the EMF meter was not initially designed to be an invaluable tool for paranormal investigators, more a method of detecting concealed electrical cables in buildings, and as such will be found in most electricians tool boxes in some form.

Before becoming engrossed in the virtues of modern electromagnetic detection, (details of which are readily available in countless books and internet web sites) let me now revert to my original task of highlighting the unique significance that Sheffield and its surrounding area plays, (in my opinion) in proving the electromagnetic theories undeniable merits.

It comes as no surprise that a major city such as Sheffield is saturated with all manner of electromagnetic producing sources; Overhead power lines, underground power cables, radio transmitters and receivers that operate on a wide range of frequencies, Mobile telephone boosters, electric sub-stations etc, The list goes on.

The reason for Sheffield’s significance, in regard to EMF’s, stems from its location immediately bordering the Peak District. This area of the UK is noted for the highest number of ley lines, in the country (150 in total).

Ley lines are straight cracks in the Earth’s tectonic plates which emit electromagnetic energy. This source of natural energy has remained controversial for many decades, despite their usage by man for many thousands of years. It is believed that many wild animals use these lines of energy as a source for navigation. At last in recent years, orthodox science has accepted their existence though many hard and fast scientists are still reluctant to connect them to possible paranormal activity. A fact, which frankly I don’t find surprising considering that many sceptical scientists are still loath to admit the fact that paranormal activity exists.

An obvious exception to the list of doubting scientists is the late and great Thomas Charles Lethbridge; A retired Cambridge academic, professor, archaeologist and keeper of antiquities at Cambridge University, who devoted his life to the science of dowsing. His findings and achievements are far too extensive to include in the paragraphs of this article. However, it must be stated that his work, both published and private was considered so meticulous and groundbreaking that he was referred to as the Father of Paranormal Research. His findings and amazingly accurate field experiments are still respected and considered by modern day scientists and researchers.

In a nut shell T.C. Lethbridge was almost solely responsible for not only detecting ley lines, but, also for highlighting the vital importance they have in the planets very survival, and most importantly of all, at least for the remit of this article , how intrinsic this once dark and mysterious source of energy is to man and his environment. In particular the interaction of the brain (both human and animal) to the very Earth that sustains his survival.

Such is the Peak District’s reputation for its unrivalled abundance of ley lines and Neolithic monuments (which I intend to discuss in more detail in later articles) it is known globally as the Bermuda Triangle of the UK.

If the reader will bear with me I will attempt to demonstrate how, this system of local EMF energy appears to manifest in unprecedented numbers of paranormal events in the area, beginning with the world famous, Dark Peaks Air Craft Crashes, regular and well witnessed UFO sightings, and of course reports of poltergeist attacks, and apparitions manifesting in many places.

The Dark Peak Air Crashes

For the sake of clarity I emphasize at this point that I am not suggesting that the ley line system that is so abundant in this area can or indeed should be, connected with the aircraft disasters which have claimed in excess of 300 aviator’s lives. I have no qualifications related to the complex issues of aircraft engineering and to pretend otherwise would be both misleading and disrespectful, neither of which is my intention, nor do I seek to offer any iron clad conclusions regarding this most unfortunate phenomenon. My sole intention is to share my painstaking observations for the reader to ponder and consider.

My attention is focused more on the subsequent, alleged reports made by countless witnesses, who claim to have seen the ghostly re-enactments of these sad events in more modern times.

Scores of day trippers and commuters have driven unsuspectingly along the narrow, winding lanes that criss-cross this world renown urban sprawl, along with equal, if not arguably greater numbers of walkers who seek out peace and solitude among the unspoilt moor land landscape, only to become unwitting spectators of ghostly fly pasts by silent phantom aircraft on the ill-fated stages of their last flights. Bombers, fighters, and jets of both military and civilian origin soar briefly and silently above, before vanishing without trace, except for the indelible image imprinted in the memory of those who stand below stunned and shaken by their inexplicable experience.

Throughout my research which included the scanning of maps showing the location of the aircraft wreck sites, then overlaying a transparency, produced to the same scale of ley lines and their intersections, the correlation was spectacularly accurate, in my opinion way beyond the realms of coincidence or chance. This uncanny marriage of ley line location and regularly witnessed paranormal activity continued when I followed the lines along their fingering path into the surrounding South Yorkshire urban landscape of Sheffield, Stocksbridge, Ecclesall, and Rotherham. This correlation was mirrored on the Derbyshire side of the Peaks at Glossop and most notably Buxton.

I subsequently discovered that Buxton is a world famous meeting place for Illumanti, and mason occult ritual practises. This revelation is further bolstered by similar dark practices carried out at equally renowned locations such as Arbor Low and the Swastika Stone on the Ilkley Moors.

The network of Ley lines that cover the entire planet have been around as long, even longer than man. It seems that ancient human habitation were more aware of this natural source of energy and its capabilities than modern man, or more precisely modern science are prepared to admit. It remains a sad fact, that despite all the benefits that modern technology can bring us, an influential sector of the scientific community today employs more time and effort into disproving the apparently obvious source of our planets untapped form of energy.

With a little more constructive imagination and open mindedness the possibilities could be awe inspiring and the beneficial consequences endless. We appear to be so close to converting so much of the paranormal world into acceptable and understandable phenomena that one is forced to wonder why we are shackled by narrow-minded and sceptical scientific stubbornness.
