Why would a ghost hunter need GPS? Well let me say if it wasnt for a GPS we wouldnt have found a few HIDDEN locations out in the open / forest.
A gps tells you your current coords, and you can pin point a location, and it will guide you to your destination by showing you. how close / far away you are.
if you plan on finding hidden location , lost town, caves, tunnels, and more. then a GPS is ideal for you. :)
