Info On The Place:
The stubbing pit in rawmarsh has now been knocked down, and concrete stone is now in place of were the shaft was.
A train useto run through stubbing, to the pit. You can see the train track planks still in place, and you can actually see the tiels on the floor from the shower area in daylight.
Information on the ghost sightings / hauntings:
This place is known to be rather active
People have gotten photos of orbs and mists.
Richard from rotherham ghosts said he saw "A pair of legs"
Legend says that there is 3 monks that roam the area, we project-reveal believe we have caught a mist figure which seems to look like a Monk hood. Tell us what you think? *Picture Gallery Link*

Add Your Stubbing Pit Ghost Sightings
Two miners were killed at New Stubbin Colliery, both in 1933. One was found dead with his head crushed in the stone mill, the other I believe was found dead in the pit bottom.
Not sure about any links to Monks? I don't think there any religious settlement down there....
