Facts About The old Rectory.
The old rectory at rawmarsh was first built in 1752. It must have been something to see when it was first completed. It housed the local Vicars, and changed between religious denominations.
It was left unoccupied in 1977 and slowly began to fall into disrepair. Although attempts where made to stop squatters etc.
It was (2007) the local haunted house. It looked the part, falling down and over grown. The building had just been upgraded to a grade 2 listed building and sold at auction to a development firm who where converting it into flats.
The Investigation.
We began the investigation around 11pm. Making our way through the over grown garden, and looking at the Latin inscriptions above the door. At one of the top windows that was boarded up a couple of investigators thought the could see a man watching us.
We gained access to the building through a hole in the wall, which led us into a small room. The room ad a very strange feeling and we all felt like we were being watched.

We began taking photos and a couple of investigators tried some pendulum work. Both the pendulums swung madly.
Whilst the flash from the camera lighted up the room and investigator thought she saw someone in the corner of the room. So more photos where taken. The man in the corner of the room looked like a Methodist minister and he was not happy.
There was then a heavy smell of sulphur and all investigators left.
Since this investigation the building as been re developed and is now flats.
