The Old Sheffield Fire Station.
-
Built in 1879 the building was the hub for the Fire, Police and Ambulance Service for Sheffield. The building stoped providing these services in 1965. in 1984 after being used by various companies for various things, it was decided to turn the building into the Museum we now know it as.
Various ghosts have been seen in the Museum, one of which has been a Victorian Firemen who has been seen by a lot of people, often being mistaken for a wax dummy. He has been seen walking round the bulding and even reports of him speaking to people have been reported!
The site has had many paranormal groups and mediums in to investigate, some of which have come up with several names. There is a report of a woman who went with a group and stayed one night in a cell and she witnessed footsteps outside on gravel. When she was found by her friend wide awake, they took look outside only to find that a building was occupying what was once the old courtyard and exercise yard for prisoners.
Witnesses have reported cold spots, the smell of smoke and the feeling of being watched.
