When the Tram was built in Sheffield, an eldery gentleman had a heart attack on the Tram not long after it had opened, and died in his seat. It was only when the Tram was returning to the Depot that the conductor noticed he had not moved, and called for help but it was too late.

A conductor working late one night on this route, saw the old man and asked him for his fare only to have the old man suddenly disapear in front of his very eyes!

Passengers often see the gentleman who fades out when the tram gets to Hillsborough.

Tram drivers have seen the gentlement get on the tram, and have even opened the doors for him, and watched him take his seat, only to disapear as quickly as he is seen.
