The Fancy Dress Shop Ghost Investigation Rawmarsh Rotherham

Artcile by South Yorkshire times.

CAMERAS crashed and floating orbs appeared on film when ghostbusters moved into Parkgate last week.

A paranormal investigation team known as Project Reveal spent a night at Jane Garner's Hire Standards wedding and fancy dress hire business on Broad Street, and collated evidence of... something.

Jane and her daughter Penny called in the team after a string of spooky happenings, and were told afterwards that there was indeed paranormal activity at play.

Findings from the group included floating orbs being seen in both shops, including video footage of one passing by an investigator's head while she was looking in a mirror.

Shadows frequently blocked other team members when they tried to view themselves in the mirror.

A Project Reveal spokesman said questions asked aloud while all members used a pendulum were answered by chain movement, and during a seance in the wedding shop, orbs were caught on CCTV.

Cold spots and cold breezes in certain places were easily identified, added the spokesman, and a medium claimed to have made contact with a young boy.

The most dramatic occurrence was when a CCTV camera set up by the group, and an ornament by it, crashed to the floor in an empty room, heard clearly by the full investigative team, the Times was told.

Jane, 44, who has run the business for 20 years, reported recent experiences that included flying scissors, misplaced fancy dress clothes, the radio and kettle being turned on when no-one was around, and a woman's face appearing in her mirror.

She is still interested in any information about the history of the building.
